Raul E. Jimenez

Raul E. Jimenez was born in Havana, Cuba, and traveled to Texas in 1957 to pursue his college education. He barely escaped Cuba in 1960 while on a summer vacation there. He holds the B.S. and M.S. in Meteorology from Texas A&M. He also holds an M.S. in Counseling from the University of Memphis. He worked for several U.S. airlines between 1965 and 1999, and traveled the world. One of his tales, "Story of a Kiss" was a recent finalist in Glimmer Train's Fall of '64 Short Story Contest for New Writers. He's had two short stories published in an anthology, "Soaring," by The Writer's Association. One more story, "Men Who Used the Night," has been accepted by "Combat Magazine." He now lives in Miami, Florida with his wife of forty-three years.
