Tony O'Neill
Tony O'Neill is 27 and lives in New York City. His writing has appeared in Laura Hirds Showcase (www.laurahird.com) 3am Magazine (www.3ammagazine.com) and many others. He had a promising career in music at one point, playing with artists as diverse as Kenickie, Marc Almond and The Brian Jonestown Massacre before a crippling addiction to heroin and cocaine put a stop to all of that. He started writing during his first of many stints in rehab and has been writing ever since. His autobiographical account of his life on the fringes of the Hollywood dream "Digging the Vein" (Described by one reviewer as "Like Burroughs' Junky as reimagined by Dee Dee Ramone") will be published by Contemporary Press in late 2005/ early 2006. A collection of short stories and poetry is in the pipeline for a possible UK release. His most unusal job was a (fully clothed) walk on role in the hardcore porn extravaganza 'Snatch Adams'.
