Leid

As oil does on water the
sky kaleidoscopes with blue

where the white horizon was
a warm pelt of bracken

an almost invisible upland ridge
dissipates with compulsion

A 22 carat gold coin
A virtuoso sun

we stood together
toes in a warm silver sand

let me imagine a rose tree
one red one orange

Or a jigsaw garden
all greens and yellows

let me imagine wonderful
let me
