Mmmmmmmmm....white castle.

I love the idea of poetry intermixed with sliders.

Lovely.

A few favorite phrases: dead onions, harmless pup no one feeds, and of course these lines:

I like it, but I feel
like a cliché when people see me screwing
the top off. Who do you think you are?
Oh, you must be a WRITER. Yeah, well try a Bic.

Thanks for a few moments at WC. I could almost smell the onion rings.

Great poem! and good point! we don't take the time to enjoy beauty. How much time do we spend looking at a painting compared to watching tv? Or enjoying a friendly conversation without thinking about what's next on our daily agenda? I have a collection of Robert Frost sitting on my bookshelf, collecting dust...one of those books saved for 'some day'. I am inspired to read that collection, instead of watching the mindless swirl of colors and chatter on TV, and savor the imagery of great words. Thank you.
