The Beat T-Shirts

We now have The Beat T-Shirts available via CafePress! Sporting our logo on the front and back, they come in various sizes and a couple of styles, so there should be something to fit everyone.
The t-shirts start at $14.69 (plus postage and packing). Probably not the cheapest of shirts, but as it is likely to be a small print run and therefore pretty unique, we think it’s worth it.
By buying a t-shirt, we earn a small amount of commission, so you’ll be helping to keep The Beat running. Obviously, if you want to make any other sort of donation, please get in touch ;-)

Isn’t it a little bit contradictory to buy t-shirts when you’re a beat?
I’m sure true beats would have hated it.

Hi Etienne,
Well, you may be right, although just because this site is largely dedicated to promoting work by Beat artists past and present doesn’t mean that we ourselves are “Beat”, and it’s up to our readers whether they actually buy shirt, so if they don’tlike the idea of it, they won’t. I don’t think many of us can truly call ourselves beat anyway - both myself and Sean work in financial services - hardly beat professions!
We thought long and hard whether to have affiliate links and ads on the site - and we’d love in theory to keep it ad free, but we have to pay to have the site hosted, and pay to keep the domain names etc, which doesn’t come cheap…
