Well, you may be right, although just because this site is largely dedicated to promoting work by Beat artists past and present doesn&#039;t mean that we ourselves are &quot;Beat&quot;, and it&#039;s up to our readers whether they actually buy shirt, so if they don&#039;tlike the idea of it, they won&#039;t. I don&#039;t think many of us can truly call ourselves beat anyway - both myself and Sean work in financial services - hardly beat professions! 

We thought long and hard whether to have affiliate links and ads on the site - and we&#039;d love in theory to keep it ad free, but we have to pay to have the site hosted, and pay to keep the domain names etc, which doesn&#039;t come cheap...
