The Recovery of Evidence
by Richard Stevenson
So here are the mechanics:
Olson takes us to the bodies,
the first crew recovers the evidence.
Second crew shadows the first,
watches everything they do.
We cover our butts, gentlemen!
If the judge tosses the testimony
of the cops accompanying Olson
to the sites as having been coerced –
in effect, paid for, then we’ve got
the admissible testimony of
the shadow crew that have observed.
Sounds nuts, but it’s necessary.
We want this motherfucker bad;
he’s a bad motherfucker. Any questions?
That was it. We gathered corpses,
jewelry, facts. We bagged everything.
Took one kid out in a jar!
If this guy ever gets out of jail,
he’ll have more perforations than a tea bag:
we’ll be flushing him down a drain.
